On Thursday, November 11, 2021, we submitted the attached document in response to the EPA's request for Public Comment on the agency's FY 2022-2026 draft strategic plan.
These comments urge the EPA to increase its oversight and enforcement efforts for concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs), including requiring CAFOs to implement both short- and long-term corrective measures to prevent discharge violations and implementing effective measures for the significant reduction of methane emissions.
